Sistrunk Parade

Saturday, February 24, 2007

The Annual Sistunk Historical Parade is scheduled each year during Black History Month in February. It's name commorates the contributions of Dr. James Sistrunk, founder of the first hospital for blacks in Broward County. With hundreds of participants including local bands and floats, thousands gather to view the parade as it travels down Sistrunk Boulevard and ends at Delevoe Park for a celebration party.
