The SFWMD is currently under contract with the City of Fort Lauderdale for the removal of sediment from stormwater outfalls in two locations: Harris Terrace and near North Fork Elementary. Removing sediment helps to reduce pollution, and improve water quality. These are now complete.

Also, the pollution control device installation will be in early 2007 and the Stormwater Master Plan will be started in 2007.
